on sunday 4/24-2011 start at 4:46 am steping out from my apartment door i begin the longest day/ride for this year, altho last few years ago i'ved done many long ride before.
rode into NYC via george washington.
from van cortlandt park in bronx i begin my journey on this rail-trail wich is for about 50miles long.
the remnant of station platform at van cortlandt park, these are former old putnam railroad.

after riding for about an hour i reached dunwoodie station wich is no longer exist only the remnant.
and there are nice small pond near by.

two crane resting on these small beautifull pond just next to south county trail.

rode another 2 hrs and i reached trailhead of north county trail wich will connected with putnam trailway.

north county trailway sign right off from route 100.

moving on ride this trail and come up to this remnant of station called "millwood station"

then continued on saw some fisherman along this route at near by reservoir.

at 08:42 arrived at this giant reservoir.(croton falls reservoir) where all NY's get their drinking water via old croton aqueduct trail

at the time the reservoir covered with thick smoke of fog.

at 10:33 arrived in middle branch station.

after this....i have to turn around by riding on rouet 36 because i have reached the terminus of putnam trail.
so,.from route 36 then take route 100 and the onto route 35 to get connected again with north county trailway that intersect wiht route 35.
from there, after get connected with north county trailway then turn into pleasant ville rd in pleasant valley township.then take route 448 to get into OCA (old croton aqueduct) trail.
this trail will lead me back to city (manhattan) probably around 12miles.
