a fire tower in sterling state park,NY

this ride was from february 19 2012 on sunday morning around 4:30am i'm embarking on this long hrs and distance mtbiking into deep woods of NJ and NY state park (5 park total)
the 1st park was,in ramapo mountain reservation.second is ringwood then sterling forest park, and tranquility park and the last is jungle habitat.took me total of 15hrs to complete this rides.
and i'm doing this alone on my SS bike for total of 82miles.

a trail sign in sterling forest

                                                           sunrise over ramapo lakes

                                                      the NJ/NY state border line
my bike lean against boulder on highland trail

i'ved meet large group of hikers approx 20 ppl on highland trail in sterling forest.
we say hello,..while i'm stoped and move to trail side to let them pass.
and they were all nice to me,no silly or dumb comments or questions why i'm riding this hiking trails.
(i wasn't suppose to be there anyway) coz this are hiking trails and offcourse no bikes allowed.
but,..for me.
it's just a trails i have every right just like them(hikers) to enjoy playing in the woods.
and i didn't do any harm to the trails or unrespectfull towards hikers that i meet.

riding from portland in pennsylvania to clifton in new jersey.

on saturday 5/14 from chinatown in manhattan,NYC with my parnert drive me to columbia,NJ and drop me there.at 4 pm arrive at travel center of america it's a place for me to stay for a night at nearest motel.
it was rain at 4 am when i woke up.geared up and then get some breakfast.
then i headed down to portland,PA wich is only a short ride from where i stayed.
so,..from this bridge the portland-columbia footbridge mark as my starting point.

                                        portland,PA

to get to paulinskill valley trailhead i have to get on route 94 north for a mile then turn right onto brugler road the trailhead is on the left after going over a small bridge.

a small bridge on brugler road on the left is the paulinskill trailhead.

after found the paulinskill trailhead, then following it for about 2 mile i came across these  two sign.

then continue for another couples miles,suddenly..my chain snap.right under these bridge.
the lackawanna cutoff railroad bridge (abandoned)

at around mile 20...

                                         blairstown airport
                                            blairstown footbridge park

sussex branch trail at juntion route 206

after completed my first section of paulinskill valley trai.then continue on sussex branch trail for another 21 mile until i reached allamuchy state park.
the lackawanna cutoff bridge and sussex brach trail intersect.

at morris canal in saxton falls.

after taking a break in saxton falls then i continued on by following highland trails to get connected with pathriot path.
but pathriot path was so amusing, lots of disconnected part of the trails.a map woud be a time saver (i don't carry any of it) so,..i was so frustrated by it.
i decided to continue my trip by riding on the roads.
so,.all come to 115miles for over 14 hrs.
10 hrs moving time and the rest trying to find the connected of patriot path that keep missing link.
